Just downloaded this new version of Showyou. It’s an interesting app to share your video stream with your social network on Facebook and twitter. The interface has always felt a bit haphazard. We’re hoping this version will be better.

We’re testing it out now.

This will be yet another smart way to connect video to social activity.

We’ve connected it to our twitter account for our other company and will let you know what we think soon.

Meantime download it yourself from the App Store so you can tell us what you think too.

Interesting… Mattebox features professional adjustments, for control over color, exposure, saturation, gamma, vignette, and crop. This cool app is modeled after the legendary Konica Hexar. It’s an app that’s about taking pictures not manipulating them.  It’s a bit higher priced than most camera apps on the App Store at $3.99 but it looks pretty darn good.

Yep. We downoaded the new iBook Author App as soon as it was available.

We’re just beginning to test it out and see what it can do with simple tagging in Pages and Word for importing. Can’t wait to drag and drop a Keynote deck into a book and see what happens.

From the presentation and the demo’s it looks pretty sweet. We even downloaded a book to see what reading and interacting with one is like. More on what we think soon.

We agree with Gruber.

Fear of Apple is about losing control over the software on our computers. Fear of Google is about losing control over our privacy.

Me, I use an iPhone simply because I think it’s the best. But it fits with which company I’m more worried about, too.

It’s over and we won.

Finally Adobe has come to understand it’s Flash mobile plug-in isn’t worth the trouble. Lucky us. The plugin was crap on mobile and now it seems Adobe got the message.

from Adobe:

Our future work with Flash on mobile devices will be focused on enabling Flash developers to package native apps with Adobe AIR for all the major app stores. We will no longer adapt Flash Player for mobile devices to new browser, OS version or device configurations. Some of our source code licensees may opt to continue working on and releasing their own implementations. We will continue to support the current Android and PlayBook configurations with critical bug fixes and security updates.

Staying up too late glued to the blue glow of your computer screen? We’ve got a piece of software for you. F.lux . We’ve installed it and love it. Cross platform — try it and let us know what you think.

stereopsis.com/flux/

f.lux changes the color temperature of your display. Natural light is more blue, while most artificial light (including candlelight) is warmer. Incandescent bulbs, which we’re all used to, become more red in tone when you dim them. But newer LEDs and CFLs don’t — this includes the backlight on your monitor. If you’re a photographer, you’ve probably dealt with this, since pictures taken inside at night are always much more brown than photos outside.

Just updated the iPhone.

Had an issue with updating the laptop OS. There was a security update.

Love being able to tweet from apps. Investigating more.

Now to update the iPad.

Looking for an  image manipulation App? For a mere $29.99 Pixelmator will do everything you need. We hate having to launch Photoshop for simple photo tasks and manipulation. With Pixelmator you never have to buy Photoshop.

The interface is awesome and fun.

We can’t wait for it to be iPad ready.
