Just downloaded this new version of Showyou. It’s an interesting app to share your video stream with your social network on Facebook and twitter. The interface has always felt a bit haphazard. We’re hoping this version will be better.

We’re testing it out now.

This will be yet another smart way to connect video to social activity.

We’ve connected it to our twitter account for our other company and will let you know what we think soon.

Meantime download it yourself from the App Store so you can tell us what you think too.

Steve Jobs introduces the Mac Mini “It’s very, very, tiny.”

BYODKM.

No more excuses for not switching.

We have Mac Mini’s on our studio desks. The Mac Mini rocks.

Interesting… Mattebox features professional adjustments, for control over color, exposure, saturation, gamma, vignette, and crop. This cool app is modeled after the legendary Konica Hexar. It’s an app that’s about taking pictures not manipulating them.  It’s a bit higher priced than most camera apps on the App Store at $3.99 but it looks pretty darn good.

Took a quick shot of the inside of my our MacBook Pro.

It was easy to open the case; popped it open in just a couple minutes. When I lifted the bottom off it was another beautiful sight. It’s always amazing to look inside the hidden parts of Apple technology. I’ve always loved to look inside electronics at the wonder of vacumn tubes to circuit boards.

But I must say that Apple machines are exceptionally so.

What the heck is unicode?

Remember computers just deal with numbers. Unicode enables a single software product or a single website to be targeted across multiple platforms, languages and countries without re-engineering. It allows data to be transported through many different systems without corruption.

Unicode provides a unique number for every character, no matter what the platform, no matter what the program, no matter what the language.

Find out more about unicode.

Yep. We downoaded the new iBook Author App as soon as it was available.

We’re just beginning to test it out and see what it can do with simple tagging in Pages and Word for importing. Can’t wait to drag and drop a Keynote deck into a book and see what happens.

From the presentation and the demo’s it looks pretty sweet. We even downloaded a book to see what reading and interacting with one is like. More on what we think soon.

January 18 was the great internet blackout to both protest and raise awareness about two pieces of legislation facing a vote in Congress. You may have noticed that our blog and website were blacked out for the day.

We captured a few of the more interesting efforts that we came across.

Debtris US

A little bit about money in our sphere. We especially like the little dot that represents the OPEC Climate Change Fund.
