December 9, 1968, Douglas C. Engelbartand 17 other computer professionals demo work from the Augmentation Research Center at Stanford Research Institute in Menlo Park, CA. They had ben working on this project since 1962.
It’s amazing to look at where this work developing the mouse, hypertext, object addressing and dynamic file linking, shared-screen collaboration involving two persons at different sites communicating over a network with audio and video interface looks and feels like today.
Looking at our past can be almost as exciting now as when it was only our future.
